One of the defining elements of Hamptons architecture and design is an integration between the indoors and the outdoors. There are large windows that let natural light in to create a bright, airy and open feel. There are also expansive doors leading to outdoor spaces, and when the weather is right, those doors can be left open. The outdoor spaces themselves are so important as well.
We put together some of our favourite Hamptons al fresco spaces for inspiration.

You’ll often see the al fresco spaces of a Hamptons home are as functional and beautifully designed as the interiors. They’re much like rooms themselves, with furniture for entertaining and dining.
There are impeccable pavers that create a flooring-like feel, and the landscaping can create classic separation and the feeling that you’re in a charming outdoor room, even if it’s completely open-air.

As far as the architectural design elements themselves, you’ll see sunrooms, screened in verandas and open verandas with views of the surrounding area.
