How to Incorporate Sea Mist into your Hamptons Home

For us at Lavender Hill Interiors, sea mist is certainly the colour of the season. Sea mist is a beautiful shade of blue-green. It’s soft and subtle, but at the same time makes a statement.

Customers often wonder how they can include pops of colour into a Hamptons-style space since so much of Hamptons design does centre on neutral.

Sea mist is a beautiful way to include colour, without stepping outside of the simple elegance of Hamptons design style.

Sea mist doesn’t just work with neutrals such as beige and shades of wheat and off white. It also makes a nice contrast with timeless colours like navy. The two complement each other perfectly and sea mist isl ight and airy, while navy is rich and bold.

We have a lot of great new pieces in sea mist right now, and we love coming up with creative ways to include them in our inspiration boards.

SEA MIST AND NATURAL

If your living room or bedroom furniture is primarily neutral, use sea mist in cushions, armchair, an ottoman or bedhead for a pop of coastal colour. You can also opt for our sea mist table lamps.

SEA MIST & WHITE

Our sea mist linen bedhead in works well with white furniture, and pairs with our sea mist table lamps for symmetry in a bedroom or living room.

SEA MIST & NAVY

Sea mist cushions and armchairs pair nicely with a navy sofa and a natural, woven area rug, or you could use our navy headboard in a bedroom and add sea mist in the form of an accent chair.

There are so many options, and sea mist is a great colour to experiment with until you find the combination that works for you.
