When you’re designing a Hamptons home, lighting is important. The objective of any design concept is a sense of comfort and warmth, and a lot of that comes from the lighting you choose.
A layered lighting approach works well and often includes the use of table lamps. Table lamps can be used to not only add warmth to a room, but they can make a decorative statement, and they can be used to create symmetry when they’re added in pairs.
When choosing lamps, look for classic silhouettes and crisp, clean shades. Tones of blue, white or pale green for a lamp base often works beautifully with a white shade and in particular, a white linen shade or a neutral linen shade.
Duck egg blue, navy, and aqua lamps can all be a good way to add a subtle pop of colour.
You can add a single lamp beside a chair, or a small seating arrangement for a cozy nook feel. You can add a pair of lamps to a console table in your entryway to make an inviting atmosphere as soon as guests step into your home.
Table lamps are quintessential in living room designs on end tables, either flanking your sofa or armchairs.

GLASS LAMPS
Clear table lamps can feel breezy and airy. For the base materials, consider ceramic or glass. Table lamps added in a bedroom can give you ambient lighting for reading and relaxing in bed as well.
